Book blog 4 Booked by Kwame Alexander

The book was about a kid named nick and his parents, the starting of the book was good he was a soccer player he had a best friend his parents were in love. Then in the middle his parents get a divorce he hurts his ankle meaning he can’t play his playoffs, the girl that he likes doesn’t wanna talk to him, and he's getting bullied. Of course he pushes through the bad path he’s going down but not everything will be great. Does his parents ever get back together? My favorite part is when he stands up for the girl he likes even though he knows he gonna get hurt from the boy. I recommend this book to not just people who like soccer because I don’t like soccer but I still gave it a chance this book will be great for people that like poetry, real life situations, and funny moments. I could relate to some parts of the book like hurting your ankle, going down a bad path, and family problems. I love this book for the main reason that it’s all real life situations.

Book blog 3/ The playbook by Kwame Alexander

The book I finished reading was the playbook I liked the book a lot because it just talked about how he kept trying to be great at something and every sport failed on him. But he nevered gave up and kept finding he tried every sport basketball, baseball, football etc. At one point be was wanting to give up but he didn’t, when he tried tennis he thought he wasn’t going to like it. But after he practice the whole two summers he was undefeated. The setting was mostly outside and the conflict was all the sports wasn’t going good for him. My favorite part of the book was when he found the sport he was good at and a professional. I recommend this book to people that like poems and work hard to do something that you like and your trying to find.

I choose effort because I feel like I’m not putting a lot of effort into the things I do in and out of school, when I do my homework I put very little effort, when I clean my room I put a little bit of effort. Effort connects to my life in so many ways when I do something I love I put a lot of effort into what I’m doing when it’s sports, video games, and helping my siblings. Effort means to me like do better in the world and don’t mess up but when you di mess up you have to put effort into trying to make it better. Living this word will change my mind and people will see I’m doing a lot much effort than before and some will be surprised. The first step I’m going to do to live this word is look back at what I messed up and to fix it with effort.

Book blog 2/ brothers in arms by: Paul Langan & Ben Alirez

The book that I fished reading was call “brothers in arms” by: Paul Langan and Ben Alirez . I loved the book because there was a lot of action and it taught me a life lesson. The book was about a 17 year old and he hangs with his friends, they were a little gang and his brother got shot and died in his arms. Months later he trying to find who did this the day comes and he refuses not to go kill him because all along it was his friends that got him killed and he told himself “I could either throw away my life and commit murder or walk away and make my little brother proud”. That question was in his mind since the beginning of the book till the end and he chose to change and take another route the last words he said in the end of the book was “no one in my family is a killer and I’m going to keep it that way”. The book taught me never do something your 1. Going to regret what you did, 2. Just doing it to impress your friends, 3. And it can possibly hurt your family to see you somewhere they
know your not supposed to be. I been going down a route that I hate but I’m slowly progressing to dobetter and I will make my family proud. I recommend this book to people that like action and life lessons.

My book blog

The book that I finished was called pain and wastings by: Carrie Mac. I really liked the book because I could relate to it really well, the book was about a boy he was 6 years old and his mom was with him in a small apartment because she never had money. She was doing Heroin and she will keep doing it till this one time she went to the bar and met this guy they went to her place. Ethan is in the closet and they did their thing but he killed her and left her in the room to rot and ran but Ethan was a little boy not knowing what happened. He kept coming back feeding the little boy maybe the mother was haunting him making sure he was feeding her son. Then he walked to the fire department and they asked where his mother was he said she had been sleeping for a long time and they went to go check and she was dead. 10 years later he’s in a foster home 16 years old not knowing exactly what happened to his mom till he does community service with a girl named holly as a ambulance girl and she knew his mother. Telling him every thing what happed and he was just as shocked not knowing what to do being angry and sad at the same

The outsiders book-movie comparison

For similarities, Jonny killed a socs with a switchblade. After he killed the socs he was freaking out finding what to do where to go and then. Ponyboy and Johnny go to the church to hind from the cops for a while. Then for disguise pony boy cut his hair and dyed it blonde because when they go out the cops won't notice them. But before all this happened pony boy meet this girl her name was Cherry Valance they meet when he went to the movies and soda pop was trying to get at her but in a bad way then when he got her a pop cheery poured the whole pop on soda pops head and then that’s how Ponyboy and Cherry meet.

For differences Johnny died in the hospital, there was a school burning and there was kids in there so Johnny pulled all of them out and a piece of wood feel on him then they took him to the hospital and stayed there for a couple of weeks because he had really bad degrees of burns. A few weeks later in the hospital he past away. In the movie Johnny dyed pony boys hair for disguise. But in the book pony boys hair was already blonde.
